Man United have gone a step closer in their pursuit of Alexis Sanchez by reaching a financial agreement with the Arsenal want-away forward, according to SportsMole.
Over the past few days, United have been linked with a shock move to hijack a deal for Alexis Sanchez who looked destined for the blue side of Manchester, and are now looking to get one over Pep Guardiola’s side.
The Chiliean has just six months left on his current deal and appeared to be headed for Man City, with reports claiming he wants to work with Guardiola who was his manager at Barcelona, however it is now believed that United have moved closer to securing his signature.
Pep Guardiola’s side initially wanted to wait till the summer when they were confident he will move to the Etihad on a free transfer, but they will now have to match or better United’s reported £25 million offer to be able to discuss personal terms with the 29-year-old.
Arsene Wenger seems to be resigned to losing Alexis and pointed out that his future is ‘still uncertain’ which could mean that he would leave before the end of the season.
