Chelsea are planning to bring Marko Arnatovic to the Stamford Bridge, as Antonio Conte turns his attention to the West Ham man in his search for a target man, according to The Sun.
The Blues have been after a number of target men this month including Andy Carroll, Peter Crouch, Christian Benteke and Fernando Llorente (who they thought they had signed last summer before he moved to Tottenham). Now they have turned their attention to Marko Arnatovic who joined West Ham from Stoke City in a £25 million move just six months ago.
ESPN believes Antonio Conte sees the Austrian as the right man to end his search for a backup to Alvaro Morata who has scored just five times in his last 24 appearances.
The 28-year-old has impressed during his time at the head of David Moyes’s attack, and has shown he is capable of leading the line after many years playing on the flanks at Stoke City.
Chelsea are currently short of quality options upfront, with second choice Michy Batshuayi failing to impress Conte, having scored just once since October and promising youngster Tammy Abraham on a season long loan at Swansea without a recall clause.
Chelsea are also understood to be in talks to sign former Manchester City striker Edin Dzeko from Italian side AS Roma.
