Serie A club Fiorentina have slapped a whopping £62million on the head of the their talented youngster Federico Chiesa, according to reports in Italy.
The sensational forward’s stock has shot up in the last 12 months after a fantastic season for his side.
Chiesa, 20, scored six times and provided nine assists in 38 appearances and has caught the attention of several Premier League sides.
English Premier League giants Liverpool, Manchester United and Manchester City are all credited with an interest in the transfer and it seems Fiorentina Gazzetta dello Sport claim Fiorentina are ready to cash in on their star attacker, but will only do so if a club meets their valuation.
Fiorentina had told suitors in April £44m would be enough to secure Chiesa, but have upped their asking price in the last few weeks after a host of sides made their interest known.
Chiesa can play on the either side of midfield, but his preferred position is on the right wing. United and Liverpool are hunting for additional options upfront this summer, with Jose Mourinho linked with a move for West Ham forward Marko Arnautovic.
Liverpool recently saw a deal for Nabil Fekir collapse at the final hour due to concerns about a past knee injury.
The Reds are now exploring alternative options, but it’s unlikely Jurgen Klopp will sanction a £62m move for someone as young and untested as Chiesa.
