Arsenal have reportedly named Joachim Low as the man they want to succeed Arsene Wenger.

Wenger has come under mounting pressure this season because Arsenal sit sixth in the Premier League table and look set to miss out on the Champions League spots.

The Gunners are 13 points behind fourth-placed Tottenham and supporters are increasing the call for the Frenchan’s 22-year reign to come to an end.

According to ESPN, sources from the club have revealed that the board have drawn up a shortlist and German national team boss Low is the prime target.

Wenger still has over 12 months remaining on his current deal but he is expected to be axed in the summer.

Meanwhile, Low will lead his national side into the World Cup in Russia but ESPN suggest he will quit his position straight after and he could be tempted to move to north London.

Germany enter the tournament in Russia as reigning champions and they are one of the favourites to retain their crown.

Monaco coach Leonardo Jardim and Celtic manager Brendan Rodgers have also been linked with the taking charge of the Emirates outfit

However, Wenger may be forgiven for the terrible season if he manages to win the Europa League.
