Chelsea midfielder and reigning PFA player of the year N’Golo Kante has revealed he snubbed a move to Paris Saint German to remain in the Premier League.
After arriving on the English soil in the summer of 2015, he quickly established himself as one of England’s best midfielders.
He won the Premier League with Leicester City in his first season, playing a key role in the Foxes shock league triumph.
His performances for Leicester didn’t go unnoticed and was linked with almost every top club on the planet at the time.
Kante has now revealed PSG tried to sign but he wanted to stay in the PL.
Kante told Le10Sport via the Express: “Do I regret that I rejected the PSG?
“No. When I was in Leicester, I had opportunities, but my priority was to stay in the Premier League.”
Kante then joined Chelsea in the summer of 2016 and went on to repeat the same heroics at Stamford Bridge, playing a key role in Chelsea’s Premier League triumph.
He became the first player to win back to back Premier League title with two different club.
Every Blues fan would be happy that it was Chelsea and not PSG who eventually signed Kante. He has made a lot of difference to our team and is the kind of player every manager would want in his squad.
