[dropcap]A[/dropcap]ntonio Conte’s impact has started to show on Chelsea’s position on the points table and he believes there are many improvements on team to overcome.
He also stated that four consecutive wins are very soon to name his side as a Premier League contenders.
Chelsea thrashed Manchester United with 4-0 is their biggest win so far this season and moved within a point less than the league leaders Manchester City, after secured 0-2 win against Southampton.
Premier League is the only competition for Chelsea to focus also they are improving with new 3-4-3 formation and individuals as well.
Diego Costa is the top scorer in Premier League with 8 goals including the brilliant goal against Southampton. Eden Hazard also found his rhythm with netting 5 goals so far, which is surpassed his last season total goal counts.
Conte said after the Southampton win: “It’s early for us to speak about title contenders,”
“We can improve a lot. We must improve. After the first part of the season – during January – I can tell more about this run.”
“I’m pleased to see my players working very hard during the game with and without the ball,”
“We know that the road is long but the confidence is increasing. It’s important to get this type of result and performance because, in this way, they can trust more in the work. It’s not important for us to look at the table now.
He mentioned that he has to wait till January to describe the Chelsea’s position.
“If you ask me a prediction or an expectation of our championship, it’s very difficult to talk about this. It’s important to pass the first part of the season. Then, when you start the second part, our ideas will be more clear.”
After the humiliating start, Chelsea have recovered from the small dent, but the big one yet to repair. Chelsea beat Aston Villa 2-0 in at Stamford Bridge with an own goal from Aston Villa player Alan Hutton.
This is Chelsea’s third victory in Premier League matches so far in new season. Jose Mourinho has left last year’s PFA Player of the Year Eden Hazard on bench and explained that he needs to concentrate on defending part also.
“I left out Hazard because we are conceding lots of goals. We need to defend better,”
He also said that Hazard has fight hard to regain his position and compete with Willian and Pedro.
“It was just a tactical decision, leaving super quality on the bench, but bringing tactical discipline and hoping that the team could be solid.
“Willian and Pedro did amazing defensive work and allowed the midfield players to be very comfortable. I continue that way, or he comes in our direction and tries to replicate the same work that Willian and Pedro did.”
Diego Costa displayed a better form after his 3 match suspension. Spaniard forward contributed the major part in crucial victory.
Mourinho told: “The way he was working in the past two weeks with us, I knew clearly he would bring something positive for us.”
[dropcap]C[/dropcap]helsea’s poor form continues even in Stamford Bridge after their humiliating result 1-3 against Southampton. The history made for both teams, but good for the visitors and worst for the hosts. Retaining the title won’t be easy task for the Blues here after.
Jose Mourinho’s magic has failed in all aspects and damage has been done on his resume and Chelsea. Chelsea didn’t sign any big players in summer other than Pedro from Barcelona. Now they may think to spend 100 million for January window.
Standing in 16th place and losing their Champions League match could not save them from a big dent, which grabs everyone’s attention recently. Mourinho is the most questioned and stressed manager in current season than Brendan Rodgers. Liverpool has ups and downs but they are maintaining their big name.
Chelsea hasn’t proved anything in Premier League 2015-16 yet. Same players performed with their best form and same manager threatened all the derby matches against Arsenal, Manchester City, Manchester United and Liverpool.
On Mourinho’s post match interview, he kept his position’s future on the Roman Abramovich’s table.
This is a crucial moment in the history of this club. Do you know why? Because if the club sack me they sack the best manager this club ever had. And the message again is that if there are bad results, the manager is guilty. This is the message people have got over the last decade from Chelsea so this is a moment when people assume responsibilities, including me, the players and other people in the club. We need to stick together. This is what I want.
Diego Costa has Radamal Falcao’s backup. Pedro made the midfield stronger, but nothing shines well. Poor defeats in a row, conceding goals, overall poor pace in team and losing supporters confident is a big threat on the track for the Champions. Either new blood has to save them or new magic for Special one has to lift them to top floors.
Lethal Atletico Madrid striker, who scored 19 goals in 17 matches in La Liga this season, is one of the most wanted men in January transfer window.
Brazilian born attacker, who choose to represent Spain in his home country, has a hefty release clause in his contract. Reportedly, buy-out clause is 32 million pounds, and Arsenal will trigger it!
Arsene Wenger wants to take capitalize on Mourinho’s hesitation, and land powerful forward in January. Arsenal have problems with injuries of their attackers and the new player is a must, if they want to continue their fight for Premier league title.
Diego Costa would fit in well in the Gunners squad, with his speed, touch and power, and he will surely make an impact in Premier league right away.
But, even if Arsenal trigger that clause, Diego Costa decides whether or not he will leave from Atletico. Simeone’s squad is currently second in La Liga, they play in Champions league too, so Diego Costa could decide to stay in Madrid, and try to win a trophy with that club.
Atletico Madrid striker and one of the most wanted players in the Europe in this moment, Diego Costa, pledged his future to Atletico by signing a new, lucrative contract that sees him staying in Madrid until 2018.
Although the media reports was saying that Costa will leave Madrid in the near future, Atletico board sent a huge statement to all interested clubs by signing a new contract with a great striker.
Jose Luis Caminero, Atletico sports director, told the press that Costa is going nowhere.
“Costa will stay at Atletico. He sent a note to all interested clubs with this signing. He is happy in Madrid, we don’t want to sell him. Big clubs will have to look for reinforcements elsewhere”, Caminero stated.
However, many people think that this is only a way for Atletico to secure Costa stays until the end of the season, and maybe, when the time for the selling comes, to get more money with installing heavy buy out clause into his contract.
Back during the summer there was plenty of talk about Liverpool signing Atletico Madrid’s top goal scorer Diego Costa, but it all came to nothing with the 25-year-old opting to remain in the Spanish capital.
Two other Premiership clubs will be looking to sign a striker in January with Arsenal thought to be after Real Madrid’s Karim Benzema, and now Chelsea looking at Diego Costa who has already scored 12 goals this season in all competitions helping the Vincente Calderon club to be true la Liga title winning candidates.
Costa has filled the spot left vacant when Colombian hit man Radamel Falcao opted to join newly promoted French Ligue 1 side AS Monaco during the summer, and has together with new signing from Barcelona David Villa helped to put Atletico Madrid to the top of the Spanish table.
Atletico coach Diego Simone would be gutted to see his star striker move to the Premiership, but knows the club has a history of selling off their best players in order to help balance the books.
Chelsea have struggled to score goals in the Premiership with the players that are supposed to be strikers Eto’o, Schurrle, Torres and Demba Ba just managing one between them while on-loan striker Romelu Lukaku has scored four times for Everton.
Costa will not come cheap though having a £32 million release clause in his contract, but Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho knows that in order to win the Premiership he cannot just rely on midfielders Oscar and Hazard for the Blues goals.
