Shkodran Mustafi is ready to move back to the Serie A, as Juventus and Inter Milan scramble for his signature.

The defender was the subject of a loan bid from Inter two weeks ago but it was swiftly rejected by Arsenal who wants to do a permanent deal.

Reports claim, Mustafi has failed to bond with his team at Arsenal and Wenger is willing to sell him despite joining the club just last August.

Inter are currently leading the race to sign the defender but Juventus aren’t far behind as they continue to monitor the German as a replacement for Leonardo Bonucci.

According to the Mirror Inter Milan and Arsenal remain locked in negotiations for Mustafi but Juventus are keeping tabs on development

The report claims Wenger wants a fee in excess of £20m for Mustafi, which differs from initial reports that claimed the manager would only sanction a bid for around £35m.

Mustafi’s exit will leave Arsenal light at the back, especially after the club sold Gabriel to Valencia just a fortnight ago.

However, Wenger believes Laurent Koscielny, Per Mertesacker, Rob Holding and Calum Chambers are enough to go through the whole of the campaign and will not sanction a move for another defender even if Mustafi leaves the club this summer.

Mustafi spent part of his early career at Everton and struggled to cope with the demands of the Premier League, before moving to the Serie A to join Sampdoria. It appears to be happening again for the Germany international who is now likely to return to the Serie A after struggling to adapt to the EPL for the second time in his career.

Arsene Wenger has refused to rule out selling Shkodran Mustafi before next week’s transfer window deadline.

Mustafi is being linked with a move to the Serie A, with Juventus and Inter Milan both keen on his services.

Initially, Gooners found the reports linking the defender to the Serie A outrageous because Mustafi was a key player for us last season but it is becoming realistic, after Wenger refused to rule out selling the German.

When asked during his press conference about Mustafi’s future, Wenger refused to rule out selling the defender.

‘No I don’t expect [him to leave]. It’s difficult for me to speak about individual cases.’

‘The transfer market is now in the final seven days and it’s always difficult to predict what happens. You have got to make quick and sharp decisions.

‘You cannot come out in press conferences and say how you will respond to any solicitation.’

Bought for £35m from Valencia last summer, Mustafi quickly formed a strong partnership with Koscielny but injuries didn’t allow him enjoy a perfect season, restricting him to just 26 league appearances.

It’s being claimed that he has failed to bond with his teammates and as a result, Wenger would consider selling him if a replacement can be found and if the money spent on him last year can be gotten back.

Wenger’s comment does suggests that there is truth in the rumors and that makes me wonder why we haven’t been working towards signing a centre back before now. It’s just seven days left in the transfer window, there is no longer enough time to find a world class defender to replace the German. It would be a risky decision to rush into signing a replacement for such crucial position.

Juventus is luring Alexis Sanchez with a swap deal

Chilean striker Alexis Sanchez, who is one of the super Arsenal players, is being monitored by the top teams like Chelsea, Manchester City, Paris Saint-Germain and Chinese Super League teams.

28-years-old Arsenal player has only 18 months left on his current contract and yet to sign a new contract with The Gunners. There is a negotiation is speculated with the fee of £280,000-a-week to extend his contract.

Arsene Wenger brought this goal-machine from Barcelona to North London and strengthens his squad’s attacking force.

TuttoSport, a Turin based newspaper, stated that Serie A leaders Juventus are preparing a swap deal for Sanchez with Miralem Pjanic, who is bought from Roma.

After losing Paul Pogba for world record transfer fee with Manchester United, Juventus are focusing the Champions League this year and building their team to compete with Champions League giants Bayern Munich, Barcelona and Real Madrid.

If they team up Sanchez with Paulo Dybala and Gonzalo Higuain, Juventus believes their front line would be a strong one to make an impact on Champions League.

The sensational Pjanic, who is one of the top summer targets by Wenger, also will be a perfect player for The Gunners and he can fit with Arsene Wenger’s unique game plan.

Pep Guardiola: A great Champions League game between two excellent teams

[dropcap]A[/dropcap]fter the nail-biting Champions League clash, Bayern Munich manager Pep Guardiola praised the crowd and both teams for the satisfied game.

He said: “To come here and play the way we did against Juventus is one of the most special days of my career,”

“It was a great Champions League game between two excellent teams. I am satisfied with the performance of my players.”

“Arturo played the last two games very well. Physically he is very strong. We needed a player with his characteristics back there. Naturally I was not afraid, because I know his character and it was my decision.

“Juventus had three shots and scored two goals, but you cannot think of coming to this marvellous stadium in Turin and not conceding. We couldn’t think of coming here and dominating or winning 7-0.

“I know people always talk about the result, but Bayern put in a great performance and the result isn’t everything.

“It’s true Juve have a chance of qualifying, but so do we. I complimented Max Allegri after the game, as people enjoyed themselves watching this tonight.”

“If there was a drop in fitness levels, you don’t attack the way we did in the last 15 minutes. Fitness levels are one of the most important things in this country, but it doesn’t matter at all. It’s an individual issue.

“Did you really think we could come here and expect to dominate for 90 minutes against a side with Pogba, Mandzukic, Morata, Bonucci – one of my favourite ever players – Buffon and all these characters?

“There are some regrets considering the way we played that we didn’t win, but this is football. We are a team with many young players and will learn for the future.

“We’ll see how we are in three weeks and play another great game against Juventus.”

Juventus first in Serie A before winter break

The reigning champions of Serie A, Juventus Turin, in the last match in 2013. beat Atalanta 1:4, and stayed on top of the league, with 5 points margin to the first follower Roma.

First goal of the match was the work of fantastic Tevez, who scored the goal with precise shot to the low corner. Atalanta manager to equalize, after a mistake of Pogba, Moralez scored.

But, soon after that, Paul Pogba erased his error with the goal, which gave Juve a new lead. Llorente and Vidal scored another two for comfortable victory.

Roma seems to be back on the track too, with convincing victory against Catania, 4-0. Benatia scored two, and Destro and Gervinho added a goal each for the convincing Roma display.

Juventus have 46 points, Roma 41, and Napoli are slowly going down. They have 36 points, and it seems that Italian title will stay just a dream for them.

Juventus will release Andrea Pirlo

Juventus is looking for a positive extension with star player Andrea Pirlo and Paul Pogba. Both players are included in wanted list of European clubs.

34-year-old turns a free agent for next summer transfer and linked with La Liga Real Madrid.

In other hand, Pogba signed with Juventus until June 2016 and helped to earn the Serie A title last season. He has been linking with France club Paris Saint-Germain.

If he gets an attractive deal from club, He will stay in Italy.

Meantime, Juventus director general Beppe Marotta has been demoted these speculations and looking for green signal from Italian midfielder.

“There will be no announcements under the tree,” Marotta told Rai Sport.

“I don’t think anything will be sorted out before Christmas, but we are calm as there is an idyllic relationship between us and the players.

“They consider Juventus to be their home, their natural habitat and it would be hard for them to find something better.

“I think we’ll resolve these situations in a small amount of time.”

Real Madrid v Juventus: Match Preview

Real Madrid, Juventus

Real Madrid, Juventus

The Uefa Champions League is back with us this week, with one of the most anticipated games being Real Madrid against Juventus.

The Italians face a difficult match when they travel to Spain for Wednesday’s match still looking for their first Champions League win of the season.

Juventus will be desperately looking for a win in the Santiago Bernabéu that will keep them second in Group B behind the Spanish Giants.

So far in the competition the Serie A side have only managed to draw both games they have played drawing first with FC Copenhagen 1-1 and 2-2 with Istanbul’s Galatasaray.

The match in Spain could have been the reason why they lost away this Sunday 4-2 in Florence to Fiorentina being too busy focusing on the Champions League rather than their domestic league as they appeared to be cruising to victory up by two goals thanks to Carlos Teves and Paul Pogba they allowed La Viola to score four goals in the last 25 minutes including a hat-trick from Giuseppe Rossi to give the Old Lady their first loss this season.

Manager Conte denied that the team were too busy in training for the Real Madrid game rather than concentrating on Fiorentina.

“We lost a game that we dominated for 70 minutes. We were home and dry and had more than one opportunity to score the third goal,” Conte said after the defeat.

“I don’t think our focus was already on Real Madrid, otherwise we would have got our overall approach wrong.”

Out for the clash in Madrid are midfielder Simone Pepe, Stephan Lichteiner and doubts over the fitness of Mirko Vucinic and Fabio Quagliarella.

Meanwhile nine-time winners Real Madrid have easily won both of their first two Champions League matches crushing Galatasaray in Turkey 1-6 before inflicting a 4-0 defeat on FC Copenhagen at home.

Real Madrid’s Cristiano Ronaldo is currently the Champions League top scorer with five goals after just two matches, and won the title of leading scorer last season after finding the back of the net 12 times.

In la Liga Real Madrid have got off to a slow start after drawing a match against Villarreal 2-2 and losing to cross town rivals Atletico 1-0 as well as only just managing to beat Elche and Levante with the help of last gasp goals.

Last Saturday’s match saw them win an easy 2-0 victory over Malaga as the first of the winter rains arrived in the Spanish capital you could also feel that the players were just going through the motions with all thoughts on Wednesday nights match, a game in which world record signing Gareth Bale will feature after returning from a thigh injury.

Real Madrid have brutally punished both of their opponents at home and away in the Champions League, and despite their routine performances domestically I expect them to inflict a defeat on the Italians as well.

Prediction Real Madrid 3-1 Juventus.

Juventus turn their attention to Kolarov

Serie A Champions Juventus are wasting no time in securing the players they regard as necessary if they are to hold onto their title next season, and to hopefully do better in the Champions League where they were outclassed by the eventual champions Bayern Munich losing by an aggregate score of 4-0.

It is thought that following that defeat the Bianconeri were determined to spend big in order to be able to compete next season bringing in from Atletic Bilbao striker Fernando Llorente, on a free transfer, and their newest accusation Carlos Tevez from Manchester City for a £12 million fee, which could rise to £15 million should Juventus win Serie A title again, and reach the semi-finals of the Champions League.

Next on their shopping list is another Manchester City player Aleksandar Kolarov who they hope to get for a good price as Manchester City look to reduce their over-inflated wage bill.

The former Lazio fullback spends most of his time on the bench, after having failed to make an impression on the City team, and would welcome a move to a team where he would get more games.

“I am in constant contact with my agent, so we will soon see what happens,” he said in June 2012. “I am very happy here in Manchester but my goal is to play with greater regularity. I said it to [former boss Roberto] Mancini.

“Money has nothing to do with it and I have no problem with wages. It’s simply that I would like to be able to feel more of a regular.”

The 27-year-old Serbian seems like a perfect fit for Juventus where the left-sided fullback could slot in perfectly into their wing-back system.
