Manchester City are not giving up on Alexis Sanchez just yet and has made a last-ditch attempt to sign him, according to reports.

Pep Guardiola made Sanchez his priority target at the end of last season and has been working on a deal for the Chilean but Arsenal have no intention of selling.

Wenger has publicly warned he would rather lose the forward for nothing next year than sell him this summer but City are prepared to test Arsenal’s resolve once more with a last minute bid.

According to the Guardian, City believe Sanchez wants to move to the Etihad this summer and have tabled  a huge bid to sign him.

Wenger had been adamant that Sanchez will remain at the club this season and last week confirmed that the club are strong enough to take the financial hit of the Chilean leaving for free.

But City have now launched a fresh £20m + Raheem Sterling bid in order to convince Wenger into selling Sanchez. However, the boss has asked for Sergio Aguero who City are reluctant to sell.

Sanchez doesn’t look like his mind is here anymore, he was caught smirking on cameras during the game against Liverpool on Sunday, which doesn’t speak well of the Chilean.

On Monday, it was even claimed he handed in a transfer request but the club has quickly denied those claims. However, it is looking like he may not be an Arsenal player come September.

Gooners will be devastated should a move happen and Wenger who has received a backlash from fans in recent years will be wise to avoid such toxic environments at the club again.

Apparently, Sanchez wants to leave Arsenal but it’s something we can’t afford as a club not now when there is no time to get in a replacement.

Shocking News: Jonny Evans On His Way To Arsenal For Medicals

The Gunners have made an enquiry over the defender, but are yet to make a formal bid at this stage.

Arsenal had a bid for Evans rebuffed by West Brom last year but Arsene Wenger wants to sign a centre-half after his side’s calamitous start to the season and could look to muscle in on City’s efforts to sign the player.

West Brom want at least £30 million for Evans and are opposed to sanctioning his sale unless his valuation is met.

They have already rejected two offers from Leicester City first was a £10m Bid and report suggest they have also rejected a £21m bid for the 29-year-old.

However, City are expected to make a third offer worth up to £30 million for Evans today but Arsenal are understood to have enquired about the former Manchester United defender last night.

Pep Guardiola doesn’t want to give up on signing Alexis Sanchez despite Wenger’s desire to keep the 28 year old.

City has been linked with Sanchez all summer and have already had a £45m bid knocked back by Arsenal but they aren’t willing to give up on the Chilean until the transfer window closes.

Guardiola has dropped a huge hint that he still hopes to sign Sanchez from Arsenal before the transfer window closes in a few days.

Speaking in his pre match press conference ahead of this weekend’s round of Premier League fixtures, Guardiola remained coy on his club’s pursuit of Sanchez.

‘He’s an Arsenal player, like Mbappe is a Monaco player, like Johnny Evans is a West Bromwich Albion player, he said.

‘You have to ask Alexis. He’s a player and the other clubs have to talk about it. Normally I don’t talk about players from other clubs.’

Guardiola’s chances of signing Sanchez this summer is almost zero because Wenger has decided he will keep the striker at all cost, even if it means allowing him leave for nothing next year.

The club is expected to sell Chamberlain – another player who is in the final year of his contract – to Chelsea and that would strengthen Wenger’s desire to keep Sanchez.

Arsenal have lost key players to City in the past, which left Gooners fuming. The manager would be keen to avoid such happening again.

” Disgrace ” A Team With No Ambition- Club Insider lambast cowardly Arsenal

Having been torn to pieces in their humiliating 4-0 defeat at Liverpool, a similar fate befell Arsene Wenger’s Arsenal in the post-match post-mortems.

Wenger’s players were variously described as “lazy”, “pathetic”, “arrogant” and “disgraceful”, while the manager himself is under scrutiny once again just three months after signing a new two-year contract.

“Last season, I called them ‘cowards’,” former Liverpool defender Jamie Carragher said on Sky Sports after Sunday’s match.

“And afterwards maybe I got a little bit of criticism. Maybe that’s a bit too strong and you can’t say that on live TV, but I’ll say it again –- cowards.”

“How can you play like this in a big game for so many of Arsenal’s players?” asked former Manchester United captain Gary Neville.

“Forget not turning up, forget not playing well, but just the general attitude or lack of respect for the shirt from three or four of them in not running back and not bothering is disgraceful.”

Arsenal great Thierry Henry, analysing the game for Sky Sports, confessed: “At one point I wanted to leave. I didn’t want to watch the game anymore. It’s too much to take.”

While it was Arsenal’s defensive shortcomings that were exhibited at Anfield, the player who featured on almost all the British newspapers’ sports pages was star forward Alexis Sanchez.

The Chile international was despondency personified as he traipsed to the dugout following his 62nd-minute substitution.

After the game, he took to Instagram to post a caption-free picture of himself sitting on his haunches on the Anfield pitch and dejectedly gazing at the ground.

Sanchez has been repeatedly linked with a move to Manchester City and Henry said none of Arsenal’s players could be blamed for casting glances elsewhere.

“Everything that you see on the day has been happening for the past 10 years,” said the Frenchman.

“We talk about Sanchez and is he staying, but they are not going to want to be part of this team. That is why players are not renewing their contracts. They can see something is wrong.

“The word I have used for a long time — comfort. Everyone is comfortable at Arsenal. It’s not the same pressure you have at a big club. Everything is… nice.”

The Daily Mirror branded Arsenal “a lazy, arrogant, broken team with no ideas and no hope” and directly blamed Wenger, who last led Arsenal to the title in 2004.

The Sun called Arsenal “lazy” and “pathetic” and said their torment at the hands of Firmino, Salah and Sadio Mane represented “a new low”.

The Times called it “unacceptable, unwatchable, unforgivable”.

Club Desperate As £13.8m Star Signing Expected To Undergo Medicals In Coming Day

Marseille are considering a swoop for Liverpool forward Divock Origi, reports claim.

It’s believed Origi, 22, is fearful of losing his place in Belgium’s World Cup squad having been reduced to a bit-part player at Anfield.

And he’s seriously considering his options.

According to Marseille Mercato, Origi is firmly on the Ligue 1 club’s radar with a bid worth £13.8million expected in the coming days.

There’s plenty of time for Origi to rediscover his own form, but consistency rather than impact has been his issue at Anfield up until now and Solanke, along with a fit-again Daniel Sturridge, means there’s extra competition to face.

Transfer Update: Monaco Finally Agree To Sell Thomas Lemar

Follow Footballbible on all social media platform to get up to date football related news from the English Premier League, La Liga, Serie A, Bundesliga and other leagues around the World.

Arsenal, Manchester United and Chelsea may get the chance to sign Thomas Lemar late before the transfer window closes, according to reports.

The Gunners have already had three bids rejected for the playmaker but could now get a chance to sign him in the next few days.

We know Monaco have been reluctant to let him leave but reports in France claim all that could change as the Ligue 1 champions could lose three more of their title winning squad in the few days left in the transfer window.

Kylian Mbappe and Fabinho are reportedly closing in on a move to PSG and Le 10 Sport claim Lemar could follow the duo through the exit door.

According to the report via the Metro, Monaco are now considering letting Lemar leave.

This will come as a big boost to Arsenal who have been chasing the midfielder all summer.

Wenger recently hinted he would be waiting around the corner, should an exceptional player becomes available before the window closes and he will definitely be boosted by this report.

However, we may not find it any easier even if Monaco now decides to sell. Barcelona and Manchester United were linked with him recently and they could join the race to sign him once he becomes available. Hopefully, our long standing interest should put us in an advantageous position for his signature.

Last Seasons Top Four EPL Predictions For Next Season

The Premier League season may have just finished but already everyone is making EPL betting predictions and what might be. The summer transfer market is filled with hope and dread for fans as they may find that hidden gem or end up losing their star player. It is a vital window for the top four clubs who are the favorites to win the EPL next season and below I will take a look at all of their chances of being crowned champions next campaign.

The Blues will be most pundits EPL Betting tips for next season’s champions and rightly so after winning the EPL. It will be harder for them next time around as they will have to cope with the demands of playing in the Champions League as well this time around.

It looks like star player Hazard will be staying but a lot could change before the season kicks off. If they are going to keep the title they will need to keep hold of him along with strengthening their backline. Another striker is also a must for when Costa goes through his bad patch which normally happens each season. Last time they won the EPL they fell apart the following season but I can not see that happening again this time around.

Tottenham Hotspur

Spurs are best placed to challenge for the title next season as their current young crop of players has been together a few season now. Each campaign they get better and if they can slightly improve on last season they could finally win the title.

They are in desperate need to add another striker to act as cover for Harry Kane if they are going to win the EPL. It also looks like Walker may be off to Manchester City so another full back will be required. The main stumbling block that could affect their chances will be that they are playing their home games at Wembley. They have a poor record here and will need to change that or they may even struggle to qualify for the Champions League again.

Manchester City

City is the second favorite to win the Premier League next season but the EPL online betting odds could well change before the season kicks off. They are investing early and heavily in world-class players which Pep Guardiola thinks will turn his team into champions. The manager will have learned a lot in his first season in English football and now he gets a chance to build a squad capable of winning it.

If the EPL just had the top six teams playing against each other every week, Liverpool would be top. They play brilliantly against the best clubs in the division but lose too many points against the lower ranked teams. If Klopp can find leaders to add to his squad that can change the mentality of the players during these types of matches, they are in with a great chance. They will also need to keep hold of their star players which could be difficult for them. If they can do this and finally get their transfer dealing spot on, they will be fighting for the title next year.

Thierry Henry Praises Arsenal “Defending well, being tight and counter-attacking”

Arsenal fans received their Christmas present from Emirates Stadium after the nail biting clash against Manchester City.

The complete Arsenal team yet to come due to few injury blows, but the replacements and Arsene Wenger’s change of game plans worked well.

Mesut Ozil assisted the two goals for the game and German player created most of the chances for the Gunners this season. He got the Player of the match.

Jamie Carragher on sky sports: “Yes, just. It’s the injuries that are going to be the problem for them, how quickly they can get these players back.

“But the four-point cushion they have got, and the way the other sides are playing, they are just favourites. They’ve got to take advantage of it now.

“For Arsenal now, I said before the game this was one of the biggest league games they’ve had for years, and probably for years to come.

“Beating big teams has been a massive problem for Arsenal over the years. I wouldn’t necessarily say Arsenal have gone to a different level this season, it’s more that other teams have dropped off, and Arsenal have maintained their level from the last couple of years.

“But they’ve got to take advantage of other teams dropping off because these teams next season will be back and better.”

Thierry Henry also praised his former team for the complete game they played against Manchester City.

“It’s perfect Arsenal in a way,”

“In the beginning they were very passive. You could see Ozil and Giroud getting frustrated with the team because they were not pushing up with them.

“But the next thing you know, from the chance that [Kevin] De Bruyne missed, they find themselves 2-0 up. A year ago they would have been losing that game.

“They couldn’t beat big teams like that before. And it was almost in an unlike Arsenal way: Defending well, being tight and counter-attacking. We saw that against Bayern Munich. We saw that against Man United.”

Only sad part of the game is Petr Cech ends his 169 clean sheet run.

Big plans will work with David Silva: Kevin De Bruyne

Kevin De Bruyne hopes his combination with City’s playmaker David Silva is works better. Former Chelsea player scored seven goals and assisted 14 times for Manchester City after his £54million summer transfer from Germany.

De Bruyne and Silva are managed to start just three games so far, but he believes they can play bigger part to bring glory to Manchester City

He Said: “We didn’t play that much together, and that’s been really difficult for both of us, but he’s such a great player that it’s easy to play together with him,”

“Everybody has his own style, and I think we play almost at the same position, but we’re very different players, so it’s better to have different players who play together than to have all the same.

“I’m more direct than him, he can keep the ball a little bit more than me, so with the two together that’s an advantage and we can switch different things.”

He also mentioned about their worst defeat against Liverpool.

“It happens, we didn’t play well against Liverpool, we lost, so we had to move on,”.

“I think against Juventus we played much better, we deserved a draw over there and here we also showed a reaction.”

Manuel Pellegrini has praised Belgium star and expecting more man-of-the-match displays.

“He’s a very technical player and I always say the way we play is good for him with his style of football,”

“I hope he will continue making good assists and working the way he did – scoring goals is also important.

“He also scored a lot of goals in Germany, so we brought him here because he is a mix of a creative player and also a goalscorer.”

Who are the favourites for the 2015/16 Premier League title?

chelsea champions

[dropcap]A[/dropcap]lthough the curtain has yet to fall on what has been an enthralling season in the Premier League at both ends of the table, managers will already have one eye on the summer and where they can improve their squad in the transfer market. Manchester United have been the first to blink in what promises to be a frantic summer that could see the £800 million barrier smashed for the second consecutive year.

Memphis Depay’s move to Old Trafford could be the first of a whole host of multi-million pound deals across the board that could take the Premier League to another level, but more importantly create a fantastic race for the 2015/2016 title that will leave fans on the edge of their seats. All the leading contenders will look to strengthen their team in order to remain competitive and improve their chances of being at the summit come next May, and while fans may look to enjoy their own success on Football Frenzy Slots, their eyes may be glued to the inevitable influx of summer transfers and who looks best equipped to win the title.

The manner in which they have ruthlessly dominated the 2014/2015 Premier League, remaining on top for the majority of the season, makes them favourites to retain their title. They may have been criticised for being boring over the last month or so, but Jose Mourinho’s side merely afforded themselves time to see the job through professionally after blowing everyone away in ominous fashion to put themselves well clear of the chasing pack.

Losing just two games and conceding a mere twenty-eight games are just two reasons why Chelsea were more than worthy champions, but with Mourinho in the mood to build a new legacy at Stamford Bridge, it could be up to the other title challengers to play catch-up this summer. Signing a top quality striker to compliment Diego Costa may be high on the list of Mourinho’s priorities, but pulling off the marquee signing of Gareth Bale from Real Madrid could see them dominate once again in 2015/2016 and beyond.

Manchester City

Finishing runners-up with the most lethal attack and the Premier League’s top scorer is scant consolation for Manchester City who never came close to successfully defending their crown. It has been a difficult season for Manuel Pellegrini who faces serious questions over his future at the Etihad Stadium, with star players performing below their best and new signings failing to have any sort of impact prime reasons behind their downfall.

There can be no question that a major overhaul is required, and with the likes of Toure, Stefan Jovetic and James Milner poised to move onto pastures new, Manchester City will have to bring in top quality players to make amends for this season and be more competitive in 2015/2016. Any transfer activity may ultimately depend on whether Pellegrini remains at the helm, with Pep Guardiola and Carlo Ancelotti strongly linked with the Manchester City job; a change in manager may be just what the club needs to push on in the future, and while they will be there or thereabouts in next season’s title race, they need to get it right in the transfer market.

Manchester United

Any manager that is armed with a reported £150 million transfer kitty has to be feared, with Louis Van Gaal expected to be strongly backed by Manchester United to put them one step closer to the title next season. The Dutchman may have taken time to settle into the hotseat at Old Trafford, but he has ultimately achieved his objective of ensuring Manchester United returned to the top four and back into the Champions League.

However, a club who have won twenty league titles will certainly not rest on their laurels and will look to spend big in order to add real quality to their squad, with Depay expected to be the first of several new arrivals. Gareth Bale, Marquinhos, Ilkay Gundogan and Mats Hummels are to name just a few high-profile players who have linked with a move to Manchester United, and while Van Gaal’s first port of call this summer will be to keep David De Gea away from the grasps of Real Madrid, a considerable injection of quality in all areas, particularly in defence and upfront, will see them installed as major contenders.
