Joe Hart is ready to fly more higher than before

Joe Hart signed a new contract with Manchester City and become a best paid stopper in the world. He has penned for four-a-half year deal with £140,000-a-week.

After winning the Premier League 2013–14 title, City Manager Manuel Pellegrini, who has the highest win percentage of any City manager, has made very fine signings like bring Frank Lampard from Major Soccer League and give a new deal for Hart.

Joe Hart praised Pellegrini for kept him bench on last season because it turned him a better shape.

Hart said: “We’re all aware that last season didn’t go according to plan for a tiny bit of the season but that makes me a better goalkeeper,”

“I don’t look back as though everything is in the past – it’s all relevant and part of what is going on. It’s definitely part of the journey.

“To be in the first team here you have to be at your highest level and you have to understand that and appreciate that. I’m just trying to maintain my best form.

“I’m really lucky that there have been good times and bad and that spell pushed me on, gave me a re-set mode.

“Now I’m feeling good about what I’m doing and I’m working hard, trying to improve all the time.”

Pellegrini wish to bring another legend to Manchester City

[dropcap]M[/dropcap]anuel Pellegrini said he would like to sign Liverpool Legend Steven Gerrard to Manchester City. He already did the same thing with Chelsea midfielder Frank Lampard.

Lampard made a serious impact on his match against his former team Chelsea and Pellegrini impressed with his contribution and fit in the squad.

Gerrard plans to play for Liverpool after the contract closes, but there are many speculation over his move with Major League Soccer teams Red Bulls and New York Cosmos.

He said: “I won’t be retiring this summer,”

“I will play beyond this season. We will have to wait and see if that’s at Liverpool or somewhere else. That’s Liverpool’s decision.”

Meantime, Manchester City boss interested to bring this veteran to see in blue, but as Gerrard said its upto Liverpool now.

Pellegrini said: “I don’t ever rate players on their age. It depends on the money they cost and the number of years they have left on their contract but, like Frank Lampard, Steven Gerrard is a top player who can continue at a high level for a number of years.”

He also added: “We could not do the loan with Falcao because we did not have the space for him in our Champions League squad. The amount of money for this loan was also too much when you had the Financial Fair Play behind you. But I don’t think we should have regrets about what we did in the summer. We did very well because we did all we could.”

Will Pellegrini extend Lampard stay at City?

Ex-Chelsea midfielder Frank Lampard expresses his thought about the extension of loan period on Manchester City. He has already scored 3 goals in 3 matches, which includes one crucial goal against his former team Chelsea.

After netting these goals, Manager Manuel Pellegrini admitted that extending his loan is “not impossible”. City has a balanced team and thrashed Chelsea with ten players.

Major League Soccer is not going to start until March so he can stay at Etihad Stadium. He is getting a good support from fans too.

City has all kind of players, but Lampard will be an additional package for the team. He scored more than hundred late goals for Chelsea, while he was playing for them. The same scenario happened when they faced Chelsea at City’s home.

Lampard loves to stay at England, but he has to wait for the approval of MLS club New York City.

He said: “I’m signed here until January, so that’s all I can say at the minute,”

If he continues his goal scoring show, Pellegrini will extend his loan with City, but it may happen any time before the January transfer window ends. Lampard is an experienced midfielder and doesn’t miss a good opportunity in ground.

He added: “The important thing for me is to play well if I can, train well and then we’ll see what happens.

“I wouldn’t want to get too ahead of myself; it’s not my place to do that. That will obviously be a club decision first and foremost.

“I was in very much of a comfort zone at Chelsea. It’s good to test yourself in life. All I can say is I am enjoying it.”

Manuel Pellegrini wary of United

Manuel Pellegrini has finally gotten the hang of the Premier League. His side is currently second, one point behind Arsenal and being chased with a single point difference by Chelsea. Their arch rivals, United are however too far behind to bother Pellegrini, but he remains wary of them nonetheless.

The city has the strongest attacking line-up in the premier league with the likes of Negredo, Dzeko and the dangerous Sergio Aguero. They have the greatest goal difference of a positive 34 goals with Arsenal and Chelsea sharing the second tally of 21 goals.

With strong statistics and results in their favor, it almost seems unnecessary to be careful of United this season but Pellegrini insists they are not to be taken easily.

According to ESPN, Pellegrini said, ‘The major rivals are the teams that are very near. Arsenal sit top, one point on top of us and Chelsea is one point behind.’

‘But we are absolutely sure Manchester United will continue fighting to the end, because they are used to doing it, and Liverpool and Everton are teams that will continue fighting to the end.

‘They play very well, both teams, so maybe five or six teams can fight for the title.’

City visit St. James Park on Sunday to face Newcastle United. Despite Aguero’s absence City has performed extremely well and has come forth as the strongest team in the premier league this season.

Pellegrini hopes his team continues to perform at the same level if they are to win the premier league this year.

‘It is going very well of course, we are in a very good moment,’ Pellegrini said. ‘But we are just in the middle of the season, we are just preparing for a good [end to the] season.’

Manuel Pellegrini : Kompany will travel to Halfords Lane with the team

Manuel Pellegrini has confirmed that Vincent Kompany will be added to the squad for their match against the Hawthrons and praised his ability to uplift the team.

Manchester City skipper, Kompany, limped off after 34 minutes against Everton in October due to a thigh injury. But now the defender is set to lead his club today against West Brom and is praised by his boss, Pellegrini, as a ‘key player’ for the team.

Kompany is in the squad list and will travel with the team,” the Chilean said. “He is a very good defender and, of course, we need him.’’

He added, “On the other side, in the last five [domestic] games just Sunderland has scored one goal [against us]. In all the others, we have had clean sheets. So the other defenders can do it as well but Vincent is always an important player.”

West Bromwich Albion F.C. welcome City to Halfords Lane today at 1:30 AM IST.

Both Manchester feature in tonight Champions League action

Champions League

Champions League

Tonight see’s the start of the Champions’ League group stage matches kick off with both Manchester teams in action.

Both clubs have new managers and each one of them will be under tremendous pressure to make sure that their respective clubs both make it to the knockout stage of the competition.

For Manchester United manager David Moyes it will be a challenge he is eager to take on hoping to get United back to the latter stages of the competition for the first time since 2011.

Even though United t remain a favorite to move on from the group stages where they will play German side Bayer Leverkusen, Ukrainian champions Shakhtar Donetsk and Spanish side Real Sociedad it is still not a certainty as all three clubs on their day can beat the Premiership champions.

Tonight the Red Devils face north-Westphalia side Bayer Leverkusen at Old Trafford, after the Germans finished third in the Bundesliga last season just one point behind second place Borussia Dortmund.

Currently being managed by former Liverpool manager Sami Hyypia the Germans will be coming to Manchester looking to take home a point after having one four out of five games this season in their domestic league.

Manchester City

New Manager Manuel Pellegrini know that for him to remain secure in his job at the Etihad that City need to have a good run in the Champions League, and that it was the failure to move on from the group stage last season that led to the departure of Roberto Mancini.

City has spent big again this summer and will have high expectations of the Chilean delivering trophies.

City travel to the Czech Republic today, where they will take on Viktoria Plzen in their first Group D match, which also contains last season’s winners Bayern Munich and CSKA Moscow.

The good news for City is that Belgium international Vincent Kompany should be available, but that defender Martin Demichelis, signed from Atletico Madrid in September, will be out with a knee injury. Also doubtful are David Silva, Gael Clichy and Micah Richards.

Plzen are currently leading the Czech League, and have a bit of a reputation of being giant killers and despite being the underdogs have promised that they will fight for every inch of ground.

Pellegrini will not be complacent either after he took Malaga to the latter stages of the competition last season when nobody fancied the Spanish minnows to make it out of the group stage.
