Chelsea midfielder Jeremie Boga has joined Birmingham City on loan for the rest of the season.

The young playmaker spent the last two seasons on loan at Rennes and Granada and he is now set for a spell in the Championship.

Boga impressed fans during Chelsea’s pre-season tour in Asia and there were calls from some supporters for him to stay at the club this season but the high competition for places mean he wouldn’t have been able to play regularly.

As a result the club has opted to send him out on loan to gain more experience in order to aid his development.

The Ivory Coast international featured for Chelsea in the opening day defeat to Burnley but spent just 18 minutes on the pitch, after Gary Cahill was given his marching orders.

He didn’t feature in Chelsea’s next two games but will now get the chance to show his qualities at Birmingham.

Boga is the 28th player Chelsea have sent out on loan this summer, a huge number I must say and the Blues have been criticized by fans of other clubs for its loan policy.

However, the Blues have no intention of cutting down the number of players they send out on loan, why should they really when it has served them well over the years.

Thibaut Courtois and Andreas Christensen are good testimonies of the loan policy, others who didn’t manage to break into the first team like were moved on for profits.

Arsenal have agreed a fee with Leicester City over the transfer of Danny Drinkwater.

The Blues have been trying to tie up a deal for the England international for quite sometime and they now appear close to finalizing a move.

Drinkwater who was quickly identified by Antonio Conte as a replacement for Nemanja Matic who joined Manchester United last month is said to be keen on a move to Stamford Bridge.

Following the Serbian ‘s exit, Chelsea launcheda £15m bid for Drinkwater, which was turned down by the  Foxes, who subsequently demanded around £40m.

However, the player’s desire to move to Stamford Bridge has forced his club to now agree a lesser fee with Chelsea.

According to French publication SFR France via a popular Chelsea fanblog We ain’t got no history, Leicester and Chelsea have agreed a €30m fee for the midfielder.

Drinkwater will now compete with N’Golo Kante, Cesc Fabregas and Tiemoue Bakayoko for a spot in Chelsea’s  first team.

The midfielder will follow Alex-Oxlade Chamberlain who is also on the verge of completing a move to Chelsea from Arsenal as Chelsea’s new signings.

Conte and Abramovich are keen to build a strong core of English players and Drinkwater will go a long way in boosting the club’s homegrown quota.

Chelsea fans have been divided by the impending arrival of Drinkwater but looking back at how crucial he was to Leicester’s title triumph two seasons ago, I believe the Blues are getting a decent player.

Manchester City are not giving up on Alexis Sanchez just yet and has made a last-ditch attempt to sign him, according to reports.

Pep Guardiola made Sanchez his priority target at the end of last season and has been working on a deal for the Chilean but Arsenal have no intention of selling.

Wenger has publicly warned he would rather lose the forward for nothing next year than sell him this summer but City are prepared to test Arsenal’s resolve once more with a last minute bid.

According to the Guardian, City believe Sanchez wants to move to the Etihad this summer and have tabled  a huge bid to sign him.

Wenger had been adamant that Sanchez will remain at the club this season and last week confirmed that the club are strong enough to take the financial hit of the Chilean leaving for free.

But City have now launched a fresh £20m + Raheem Sterling bid in order to convince Wenger into selling Sanchez. However, the boss has asked for Sergio Aguero who City are reluctant to sell.

Sanchez doesn’t look like his mind is here anymore, he was caught smirking on cameras during the game against Liverpool on Sunday, which doesn’t speak well of the Chilean.

On Monday, it was even claimed he handed in a transfer request but the club has quickly denied those claims. However, it is looking like he may not be an Arsenal player come September.

Gooners will be devastated should a move happen and Wenger who has received a backlash from fans in recent years will be wise to avoid such toxic environments at the club again.

Apparently, Sanchez wants to leave Arsenal but it’s something we can’t afford as a club not now when there is no time to get in a replacement.

Arsenal Target Jean-Micael Seri Issues Come and Get Me Plea – Deal Close?

Arsenal target Jean-Michel Seri has issued a come-and-get-me plea to his suitors, as he pushes for a move to the Premier League.

The midfielder has been heavily linked with a move to the Emirates all summer but it is Barcelona who have been the closest to signing him.

However, the proposed move to Barcelona fell through, leaving the player furious with his club. Despite the disappointment, Seri is still hoping to secure a move before the transfer window closes and he is open to a switch to the Premier League.

“Is the Barca move dead? I want to be optimistic and think that there are still options,” Seri told Spanish outlet, Mundo Deportivo, as quoted by the Daily Cannon.

“Let the two clubs talk quietly again and come to an agreement.

“We are not talking about any club, where you are going to sign for money.

“I want to sign for big European clubs, like Juventus, PSG, Arsenal, Borussia Dortmund, Liverpool.

“For example, Roma, has made several offers.

“I have spoken many times with [Rome director] Monchi and this transfer has not happened either because of economic reasons.

“Monchi got tired of the leaders of Nice!

“Roma was a good choice, but nothing to do with Barca.”

The midfielder is reportedly available for around €40m, which wouldn’t be a problem for Premier League clubs.

Arsenal fell apart on Sunday against Liverpool and one thing that was obvious in that game was the fact that the team needs quality injection, it remains to be seen if Wenger will address that issue by signing Seri.

Done Deal + Picture Proof: Club confirm the signing of 27-year old star man

The 27-year-old left-back joins the Baggies on a four-year deal and has elected to wear the No. 3 shirt.

Gibbs joins the Baggies after spending more than a decade at Arsenal – where he made over 200 appearances for the Gunners – and with ten England caps to his name.

But Kieran is now ready to embrace a new challenge. He says: “I watched the boys in the first few games of the season and they’ve got a lot of energy. They’ve made some good signings and I feel this is a good move for me.”

Albion Chairman John Williams says: “I’m delighted to welcome Kieran to the Club. We have recruited another quality addition, an England player with bags of experience at Premier League and Champions League level. We are confident he will do well for us.”

Mustafi on his way back to the Serie A – Arsenal fans angry

Shkodran Mustafi is ready to move back to the Serie A, as Juventus and Inter Milan scramble for his signature.

The defender was the subject of a loan bid from Inter two weeks ago but it was swiftly rejected by Arsenal who wants to do a permanent deal.

Reports claim, Mustafi has failed to bond with his team at Arsenal and Wenger is willing to sell him despite joining the club just last August.

Inter are currently leading the race to sign the defender but Juventus aren’t far behind as they continue to monitor the German as a replacement for Leonardo Bonucci.

According to the Mirror Inter Milan and Arsenal remain locked in negotiations for Mustafi but Juventus are keeping tabs on development

The report claims Wenger wants a fee in excess of £20m for Mustafi, which differs from initial reports that claimed the manager would only sanction a bid for around £35m.

Mustafi’s exit will leave Arsenal light at the back, especially after the club sold Gabriel to Valencia just a fortnight ago.

However, Wenger believes Laurent Koscielny, Per Mertesacker, Rob Holding and Calum Chambers are enough to go through the whole of the campaign and will not sanction a move for another defender even if Mustafi leaves the club this summer.

Mustafi spent part of his early career at Everton and struggled to cope with the demands of the Premier League, before moving to the Serie A to join Sampdoria. It appears to be happening again for the Germany international who is now likely to return to the Serie A after struggling to adapt to the EPL for the second time in his career.

Shocking News: Jonny Evans On His Way To Arsenal For Medicals

The Gunners have made an enquiry over the defender, but are yet to make a formal bid at this stage.

Arsenal had a bid for Evans rebuffed by West Brom last year but Arsene Wenger wants to sign a centre-half after his side’s calamitous start to the season and could look to muscle in on City’s efforts to sign the player.

West Brom want at least £30 million for Evans and are opposed to sanctioning his sale unless his valuation is met.

They have already rejected two offers from Leicester City first was a £10m Bid and report suggest they have also rejected a £21m bid for the 29-year-old.

However, City are expected to make a third offer worth up to £30 million for Evans today but Arsenal are understood to have enquired about the former Manchester United defender last night.

Lemar on his way to Arsenal in shock £60m deal, Liverpool and Man Utd could spoil move

Arsenal can sign Thomas Lemar before the transfer window closes if they stump up with a bid close to £60m, according to football expert Duncan Castles.

The Gunners had three bids rejected for the playmaker earlier in the transfer window but could now get a chance to sign him in the next few days.

We know Monaco have been reluctant to let Lemar leave but the playmaker now appears to be pushing for a move to the Premier League.

Reports in France claim the Ligue 1 champions could lose three more players from their title winning squad in the few days left in the transfer window.

Kylian Mbappe and Fabinho are closing in on a move to PSG and Lemar could be allowed to leave also for the right price.

According to Castles via the Daily Cannon, Lemar could be allowed to leave Monaco for around £60m

“I had a chat with a Monaco contact last night, asking him where things stood. He said the Lemar deal is very much still on the table as far as they’re concerned.

“It is a possibility he leaves, if the transfer fee they are looking for of £60m is met.”

This will come as a big boost to Arsenal who have been chasing the midfielder all summer.

Wenger recently hinted that a deal for the Monaco man is dead but if Castles claim is true, the boss will definitely try to sign the player once more.

However, it isn’t still going to be an easy deal to complete because Manchester United and Liverpool have now joined the race to sign Lemar.

Mustafi agree to join Inter Milan as Wenger close in on deal for van Dijk

Follow Footballbible on all social media platform to get up to date football related news from the English Premier League, La Liga, Serie A, Bundesliga and other leagues around the World. News From Chelsea, Everton, Arsenal, Manchester United, Manchester City and Liverpool.

Arsenal want either Virgil Van Dijk or Jonny Evans to replace Shkodran Mustafi, according to Calciomercato.

Mustafi could join Inter before the transfer window closes on Thusday and has reportedly agreed a €3.5m a year deal with the Italian giants.

Both clubs are still in negotiations over the German and the Italians have proposed a loan move with an option to buy permanently.

Arsenal are yet to agree to the Italian’s proposal but they remain confident of reaching an agreement before the transfer window closes.

The report even suggests Arsenal have set the wheels in motion to replace the German. It is claimed that the club has identified Virgil Van Dijk and Jonny Evans as potential replacements for Mustafi.

This is contrary to reports in England, which suggest that Wenger is happy with the four centre defenders – Mertesacker, Chambers, Koscielny and Holding – he has at his disposal.

Van Dijk who is the Premier League’s most sought after defender this summer is also attracting interest from both Chelsea and Liverpool. Arsenal have been linked with him at different times this summer but I don’t think Wenger would want to focus all his efforts on him, especially as Southampton are reluctant to sell.

Evans, a long-standing Arsenal target, is attracting interest from Manchester City, who have had an £18m bid rejected already.

Chelsea and Man City prepare last minute bid for Sanchez, Chilean wants out of Arsenal

Chelsea are considering making a late bid for Alexis Sanchez, according to reports.

Sanchez continues to be linked with a move away from the Emirates despite Wenger insisting the Chilean will not be sold this summer.

City have been the most interested in the forward and have already had a £45m bid rejected for the striker rejected.

And while the Etihad club are still keeping tabs on Sanchez’s situation, with the hope of making a late move, Chelsea have joined them in monitoring the striker.

Chelsea were first linked with Sanchez at the end of last season but their interest cooled after City intensified their pursuit of the Chilean.

However, Transfer Market Web via the Express claim Chelsea are still interested in signing Sanchez.

The report claims Chelsea could lodge a bid for the striker before the transfer window closes on Thursday.

It is also claimed the Stamford Bridge club wI’ll face competition from Man City and Monaco who are also keen on the 28 year old.

However, all pursuit are set to fail because Wenger is not prepared to change his mind. The boss is even ready to let the striker leave for free next summer rather than sell him this window.

Although that may not make sense financially, I think it is the best thing to do. We can’t afford to strengthen our rival with such a quality player, it would be suicidal to our chances of winning the league title.
