Four clubs are battling to sign out of favor Chelsea man Loic Remy, according to reports.

Apparently, Remy doesn’t have a future at Chelsea anymore and he is one of the few players the club is still looking to ship out before the transfer window closes on Thursday.

According to the Times via Football Insider, Four clubs are battling to sign the striker before Thursday’s deadline.

Newcastle, Stoke City, Swansea and West Brom are the four clubs that have expressed interest in signing the Frenchman.

Remy has struggled at Stamford Bridge, since completing a move from Newcastle but it appears he is still highly rated by clubs in the Premier League, most likely because of his exploits when he was at Newcastle.

Stoke And West Brom’s interest in the striker is a bit surprising, considering they have enough options in that  position already. Newcastle United have been in the market for a Premier League proven centre forward all summer and have explored signing Arsenal’s Lucas Perez but Remy represents a more realistic and cheaper option.

However, it is a move to Swansea that may favor Chelsea the most. Antonio Conte is interested in signing Fernando Llorente from the Welsh club and Remy could be used to sweeten the deal.

Galatasaray could make a move for Kieran Gibbs before the transfer window closes this week.

Gibbs has found himself out of Wenger’s plans and has been told to find a new club but he has been unsuccessful in doing that because of Arsenal’s valuation and also his reluctance to take a pay-cut.

Several clubs have been interested in Gibbs but Galatasaray could now make the race tougher by registering their Interest in the defender.

According to the Times via the Daily Cannon, the Turkish giants are only willing to pay up to £4m for the defender.

That is way short of Arsenal’s valuation for the defender. The Gunners rejected a £10m bid from West Brom last month, so it is impossible they will now accept Gala’s low-ball offer.

Leaving the Premier League may not even appeal to Gibbs who has been at Arsenal since he was 14.

A club that can’t even table a good offer will definitely not be able to meet the players financial demands, meaning it is almost impossible that Gibbs will be making a move to Turkey.

He is still expected to leave the Emirates before the transfer window closes next Thursday, with Watford Newcastle and West Brom still lurking around to sign him.

Manuel Pellegrini has confirmed that Vincent Kompany will be added to the squad for their match against the Hawthrons and praised his ability to uplift the team.

Manchester City skipper, Kompany, limped off after 34 minutes against Everton in October due to a thigh injury. But now the defender is set to lead his club today against West Brom and is praised by his boss, Pellegrini, as a ‘key player’ for the team.

Kompany is in the squad list and will travel with the team,” the Chilean said. “He is a very good defender and, of course, we need him.’’

He added, “On the other side, in the last five [domestic] games just Sunderland has scored one goal [against us]. In all the others, we have had clean sheets. So the other defenders can do it as well but Vincent is always an important player.”

West Bromwich Albion F.C. welcome City to Halfords Lane today at 1:30 AM IST.
