Juventus are looking to sign Monaco midfielder Fabinho, according to Calciomercato.
Fabinho was linked with a move to Arsenal in the summer transfer window but nothing concrete materialized.
The summer wasn’t the first time we were linked with the versatile midfielder though, but one can’t tell if Wenger is actually interested in him or not.
However, Juventus are one club that appear to hold a strong interest in the midfielder.
Valued at over €50m in the summer transfer window, Fabinho was closer to joining Paris Saint Germain than he was to Arsenal but a move didn’t happen as well because Monaco stood firm against selling.
With the possibility of the midfielder leaving next summer increasingly likely, Juve have made the first move by opening talks with his entourage.
Fabinho can play as a right back and as a midfielder, two positions Wenger may need to look into next summer.
We currently have Hector Bellerin as our only right back option and we may soon be on the look out for another one to provide competition for the Spaniard.
At midfield, we could do well, with a little bit more steel and Fabinho who is known for his physicality and strong tackles, could just be a wonderful option for us.
Whether Arsenal will be ready to compete with Juventus and other suitors remains to be seen. It’s not going to be an easy deal for any team to pull off because more clubs are likely to join the race to sign the Brazilian.
It will be interesting to watch how things unfold for Fabinho in the future.
