Arsenal legend Thierry Henry has hailed Eddie Nketiah after his match winning performance against Norwich City last Tuesday.
The young winger scored a brace to hand Arsenal a 2-1 win over the canaries, despite starting the game on the bench.
Nketiah scored Arsenal’s first goal in the 86th minutes, fifteen seconds after he came off the bench and the winner followed deep into extra time.
He’s been receiving praises for his impact and Henry is the latest to now commend the young winger. The former Gunner who spent sometime working with the club’s academy as a coach, says Nketiah will have a long and wonderful career.
“I worked with him when I was with the under-18s and I was delighted to see him grab two goals — delighted but not surprised,” wrote the pundit, as reported by the Daily Cannon.
“He is a great kid and was a pleasure to work with. He was always on time, listened hard and was a good worker, willing to learn and improve.
“He will always score goals, even when he’s 60. He is just a killer in the box, as he showed against Norwich.”
Nketiah joined Arsenal from Chelsea as a 14 year old and has proven to be a shrewd capture by Arsenal.
After the game against Norwich, the youngster spoke about the importance working with Henry has had on him. Nketiah will be hoping to emulate the French man and become a cult hero at Arsenal someday.
