Manchester United and Chelsea were clear favorites against Hull City and Swansea, and they managed to win, but it was far more harder than expected. United celebrated the 2:3 victory at Hull, and Chelsea beat Swansea 1:0 at Stamford bridge.
Hull performed a blitz krieg on confused United. The home team lead 2:0 after only 12 minutes, with Chester and Meyler goals. But, heart of the champion has shown itself again, and the leader of wounded United squad was Wayne Rooney. First he assisted to Smalling from free kick in 19. minute for 2:1 and then scored a beautiful goal with a volley shot only 7 minutes later, and equalized a game.
In the second half, United continued with attacks, and scored a third after Chester shot the ball into his own net. Chester could have erase that error in the stoppage time, but De Gea saved his shot.
Chelsea beat Swansea in pretty much boring match 1:0. The only goal scored Hazard in 26. minute, after errors of Williams and Tremmel.
