Wayne Rooney and Robin Van Persie

Van Persie recovers before the end of the season

Robin van Persie has returned to training and is hoping his nation team coach Louis van Gaal will join him at Old Trafford.

Van Persie suffered a knee injury during the win against Olympiakos, which rules him out for several weeks.

Ryan Giggs, who replaced a sacked David Moyes made an impressive start as interim manager with a 4-0 victory over Norwich City.

Giggs’ chance to become the permanent manager will further increase if Utd’s positive results and form continue.

Meanwhile, the Dutch coach Van Gaal is Manchester United’s main target and is believed to be confident at keeping Van Persie at Old Trafford this summer.

Rumours in Italy suggest that AC Milan are planning a swap deal involving Mario Balotelli and Robin van Persie.

The former Arsenal man has now fully recovered from injury and has started training again under Ryan Giggs.

Giggs is happy to be patient with Van Persies fitness but is yet to decide his involvement within the Sunderland game.

Van Gaal’s credentials are well known with his recent success at guiding the Netherlands to the world cup final, it is thought that his experience could bring the Red Devils back to their best in the league.
