West Brom have told Arsenal that they would like to sign Arsenal’s Callum Chambers if they are to allow Jonny Evans move to the Emirates, according to reports on the Express.

The Gunners alongside Manchester City have been after Northern Ireland International Jonny Evans since last summer, with both sides missing out on his signature, but are said to have reignited their interest in this January transfer window.

City are reported to be the favorites to sign the center back, but West Brom have handed the advantage to Arsenal, as they prefer to do a deal with Arsene Wenger’s side, provided they are allowed to sign his long term replacement in the form of Callum Chambers.

Sportsmole believes that Alan Pardew is interested in the 22 year old England international and would take any chance to sign him as he looks to strengthen his squad.

The Baggies were previously linked to Mathieu Debuchy but have turned their attention to his considerably younger teammate.

Chambers recently returned to Arsenal starting lineup after recovering from injury and has made eight starts this season.

It’s highly unlikely that Wenger will sacrifice a huge potential for a 30-year-old, so let’s keep our fingers crossed and see just how events unfold.
