Chelse will reportedly lock horns with Liverpool, Arsenal and Chelsea in signing Lille forward Nicolas Pepe, it has been claimed.
That claim comes from French source Le10Sport, who state that Chelsea have been incredibly impressed with Pepe’s recent form in Ligue 1.
According to Telefoot (via Calciomercato), Maurizio Sarri’s Blues see Pepe as one of two potential replacements for Eden Hazard, who has been linked with his own move to Los Blancos.
Le10Sport claim Liverpool have made a formal enquiry to sign Pepe, putting them at the head of the transfer race.
Pepe has been in incredible form netting 19 times and providing 11 assists in 32 games for Lille.
Only Paris Saint-Germain ace Kylian Mbappe has scored more goals this season.
Chelsea have been blocked from buying players after allegedly breaking rules surrounding the signing of minors.
The Blues – who were also fined £460,000 – are currently unable to sign ANY players this summer or next January after a Fifa ruling.
But they have appealed the decision and their case will be heard on April 11.
