Arsenal have made an £8m offer for Nicolas Tagliafico, according to reports.
Calciomercato claim the left-back could make a switch to the Emirates in January.
The Argentina international has emerged as one of the top targets for Unai Emery as he looks to bolster his backline.
The report further hinted that Arsenal boss Unai Emery wants the left-back in the winter transfer window as a backup for the club’s growing injury crisis.

The 26-year-old Tagliafico, who was an active member of the Argentina squad to the summer World Cup in Russia, played all matches as La Albiceleste crashed out of the Mundial in the second round.
Currently, Tagliafico has been on top of his game in the new campaign for Ajax in the Eredivisie, who are second on the log behind PSV Eindhoven.
And in the Champions League, Ajax lead their group that have the likes of Bayern Munich and AEK Athens, with Tagliafico scoring twice against AEK Athens last month.
Unai Emery is currently without regular left-backs Nacho Monreal and Sead Kolasinac due to injuries.
The arrival of Tagliafico could see Monreal moving elsewhere as Emery could turn to the Argentine as a long-term replacement.
