Dani Ceballos is set to leave Real Madrid in January with a switch to the Emirates looking possible after The Express reported that his agent is in contact with Arsenal representatives.
The 21-year-old Spanish U-21 star moved to Madrid from Betis in the summer after a very impressive U-21 European Championship where he was named Best Player, after snubbing their arch rivals Barcelona.
But he has since found playing time hard to get, making just two appearances in the league and scoring two goals in a struggling Madrid side that’s 11 points adrift of leaders and rivals Barcelona.
This lack of playing time is believed to have prompted the need to move to continue his development elsewhere, with Arsenal, Liverpool, Roma and Inter Milan among his options.
Madrid however do not want to see him leave and would only sanction a loan deal, with facts coming out that he was in fact a Florentino Perez signing and not a Zidane signing.
His representatives have asked for him to be allowed to leave in the January transfer window for development reasons, but Florentino Perez among others in the Madrid hierarchy feels he will do well at the club and as such are reluctant to part ways with him.
