The Daily Star claims Arsenal are already exploring the prospect of signing a replacement for Aaron Ramsey who has been tipped to leave the Emirate Stadium either in January or in summer for free after the Welshman failed to put pen to paper over a new deal with the club.
Arsenal chiefs pulled out of negotiations with Ramsey and his representatives after fears that a new contract would see the wage bill swell even further.
The Emirates club are trying to decrease costs, with the 27-year-old demanding pay parity with Mesut Ozil – who was given a £350,000-a-week deal earlier in the year.
A number of clubs in the Premier League have shown interest in signing the central midfielder with the likes of Chelsea and Liverpool reportedly leading the race for his signature but other source claims he could move to Serie A with the likes of Juventus and AC Milan have shown strong interest in the Welshman.
Arsenal are reportedly considering a move for Napoli’s Piotr Zielinski to replace Ramsey as talks with Sevilla move ‘uphill’ for Ever Banega according to a report in Italy.
Zielinski has 16 assists in the last three-and-a bit seasons. Mesut Ozil got 14 last season alone.
The central midfielder, who is also at home playing on the left wing, signed for Napoli from Udinese in the summer of 2016.
He cost £12.6m at the time and signed a contract that runs until 2021.
