David Wagner will be without Philip Billing (suspended) and Abdelhamid Sabiri (shoulder) for the trip to Arsenal, though Chris Lowe (shoulder) has returned to training and could be back in the squad.
Wagner might replace Billing with Danny Williams or Juninho Bacuna, or even move Florent Hadergjonaj into central midfield if Lowe is fit enough to start at wing-back.
A change of formation to a 4-2-3-1 or 4-4-2 (a system trialled at Bournemouth) is another possibility, of course, though Wagner has generally favoured a three-man backline in matches against the “big six”.
The Terriers were excellent in defeat to Eddie Howe’s side on Tuesday so wholesale personnel changes would seem unlikely, meaning the likes of Isaac Mbenza, Ramadan Sobhi, Rajiv van La Parra and Elias Kachunga would seem set for a place on the bench at best.
Laurent Depoitre will continue up front in the absence of the banned Steve Mounie.
