Following the disappointing 1-1 draw with West Ham United at Stamford Bridge, Antonio Conte could look to make some changes for the trip to Southampton.

Andreas Christensen is expected to return in central defence with Gary Cahill likely to drop back to the bench.

Tiemoue Bakayoko and Danny Drinkwater are possible alternatives to Cesc Fabregas in central midfield, while Pedro offers a different option in the advanced midfield positions in the usual 3-4-2-1 system.

But Alvaro Morata may retain his start as the lone striker ahead of Olivier Giroud.

David Luiz and Ethan Ampadu both remain sidelined, while Davide Zappacosta (tendon injury) and Ross Barkley (lack of match fitness) could make returns to the matchday squad.
