Aaron Ramsey is ruled out of the trip to West Ham United after picking up a hamstring problem during the final stages of the 1-1 draw at Southampton.

Jack Wilshere could come into contention for a first start of the season, with Francis Coquelin and Mohamed Elneny other options to partner Granit Xhaka in central midfield.

Hector Bellerin and Sead Kolasinac should continue in the wing-back roles in the 3-4-2-1 formation, but Shkodran Mustafi is still sidelined while Lauren Koscielny could struggle with the quick turnaround in matches.

That could see either Mathieu Debuchy, Rob Holding or Calum Chambers claim a starting role.

In attack, Olivier Giroud will surely push for a start following his equaliser at St Mary’s, though it would be a big decision for Wenger to rest one of Mesut Ozil, Alexis Sanchez and Alexandre Lacazette.

Danny Welbeck and Alex Iwobi are also options should Arsene Wenger look to rotate.

Theo Walcott (calf) is available while Santi Cazorla is a long-term absentee for the Gunners.
