Report making the round claims Arsenal are on the verge of making another signing under new boss Unai Emery this summer, according to the Sky Sports Italia.
The Gunners have been linked with a move for Sampdoria star Lucas Torreira for £22m, according to reports.
The Uruguay international is available for £21.9m ($29.36m) due to a release clause in his contract and Emery have shown interest in securing his signature with a bid to strengthen his team ahead of next term.
According to Italian publication Gazzetta dello Sport, Arsenal have an agreement in place with Sampdoria because they are ready to immediately pay the buyout fee.
The Gunners are willing to pay €30m (26m) in order to split the transfer sum into installments over a period of years.
Sampdoria are also fielding interest from Napoli for Torreira. They are looking at the South American as a possible replacement for Jorginho, who is heading to Man City.
Arsenal have already secured the signing of Juventus full-back Stephan Lichtsteiner.
