[4-2-3-1] Aubameyang and Monreal start as Emery makes 8 changes in Fulham vs Arsenal Best XI

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang (illness) and Aaron Ramsey (attending the birth of his child) are minor doubts for the trip to Fulham, with Unai Emery saying after the win over Qarabag on Thursday that the club “will look Friday and Saturday to see if they can play”.

Alex Iwobi has played himself into contention if either player misses out, after an excellent performance against the Azerbaijani club.

Emery made nine changes to his side for that Europa League encounter, with only Nacho Monreal (substituted at half-time for tactical reasons) and Rob Holding keeping their places.

Most of the starting XI that overcame Watford last weekend will likely return, though Petr Cech (hamstring) will miss out and Bernd Leno will continue to deputise.

Sokratis (dead leg) returned to action on Thursday and he would seem set to displace either Holding or Shkodran Mustafi at centre-back.

Henrikh Mkhitaryan missed the game with Qarabag for personal/political reasons but will come back into the reckoning here.

Laurent Koscielny, Ainsley Maitland-Niles and Konstantinos Mavropanos remain sidelined through injury.
