Jordan Henderson has reportedly been ruled out for a month due to a hamstring injury, but Jurgen Klopp could decide to hand a recall to Sadio Mane for the visit of Leicester City to Anfield.

Mane may return on the left of the front three alongside Roberto Firmino and Mohamed Salah. Firmino and Salah were withdrawn after 68 minutes in the 5-0 win over Swansea City, and appear probable starters.

Dominic Solanke is Klopp’s main alternative in attack. Philippe Coutinho played the full 90 minutes on Boxing Day and could be at risk of being rested.

Mane’s return could shift the Brazilian to a central midfield role, where Klopp has a number of options.

James Milner only played 15 minutes against Swansea, while Emre Can, Georginio Wijnaldum and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain all played the full match on Tuesday, and are all viable starters again.

Adam Lallana is also an option having been eased back with minutes from the bench. In defence, Joel Matip returned from a muscle problem on Boxing Day and may continue alongside Ragnar Klavan in central defence, although Dejan Lovren will be fresh after being an unused substitute.

Meanwhile, Trent Alexander-Arnold impressed last time out though Joe Gomez will be expected to return at right-back.

Daniel Sturridge (illness) is a doubt, while Alberto Moreno and Nathaniel Clyne remain sidelined.
