Arsenal FC are reportedly ready to submit a third transfer bid for Celtic full-back defender, Kieran Tierney before the close of the summer transfer window on August 8th.
The Gunners had submitted two transfer bids for the Scottish defender earlier on but they were rejected by Celtic. Reports from Scotland reveal Arsenal submitted £15 million as transfer bid in the first instance and went ahead to increase with add-ons in the second bid.
Arsenal have made some signings this summer, which include the expensive transfer deal that saw Nicolas Pepe arrive at Emirates stadium. However, they didn’t work on improving their defence that was their weakest link last season.
Although they signed William Saliba, he is not expected to join them until next season and this leaves them with no other option than to focus on signing Tierney from Celtic.
Daily Express report that Arsenal are ready to submit a third bid of £25 million for the defender.
Arsenal should be able to make the full payment considering the fact that they recently sold Krystian Bielik to Derby County for £10 million.
If the contract turns out well, Tierney is expected to arrive club in the new week and he would serve as an alternative in the central defensive position.
Aside from the Scotland international, Arsenal have been linked with a move for other players such as Issa Diop and Daniele Rugani but we believe Tierney will be their last signing this summer.
