Arsenal have revealed they are on the trail of £9million-rated Belgian scoring sensation Leandro Trossard.
The left winger has hit 15 goals in 18 games for KRC Genk this season to inspire them to the top of the Pro League.
The Gunners have reportedly been keeping tabs on the 23-year-old as they look to bolster their attacking options.
And Football London reports that Gunners boss Unai Emery is now looking to bring Trossard to Arsenal in the summer.
Emery has been left short of forwards following Danny Welbeck’s injury against Sporting earlier this month.
While the Gunners are keeping tabs on Trossard’s progress for the Jupiler League leaders, the 23-year-old’s representative has ruled out a potential transfer in the January window.
‘It’s very clear that Leandro will continue to play football at Genk for another year,’ Josy Comhair told Sporza.
‘I contacted representatives from Arsenal and Tottenham.
‘At Spurs, nobody wanted to confirm that Trossard is an option, but Arsenal did.
‘They told me Leandro has a very interesting profile for them and that they have been following him since August.
‘They also added it was a good choice to stay at Genk for another year. They ended the phone call with ‘They are keeping a close eye on him’.’
