If reports making the rounds are true, Arsenal are on the verge of announcing a double done deal with reports claiming two youngsters are set to sign for the Gunners after agreeing terms with the club.
Arsenal have secured a deal to sign left-back Joel Lopez from Barcelona ahead of Liverpool who has frequently sent scouts to watch him in action.
Lopez, 15, turned down a new contract with Barcelona in favour of a move to Arsenal.
The Gunners’ hopes of securing a deal were boosted last year when they poached Raul Sanllehi from Barcelona to be their new head of football relations.
Lopez, who plays at left-back, will initially sign schoolboy terms before committing to a professional contract when he turns 16 in March 2019.
Joel has been with Barca since the age of seven, but he has decided to leave Catalonia to further his playing prospects, as reported by Sport.
Arsenal will only have to pay Barcelona training compensation.
Meanwhile, Arsenal have also secured the services of Paris Saint-Germain youngster Yacine Adli.
Last week, RMC Sport reported that the 17-year-old has signed a three-year contract with Arsenal, which has the option for a further two seasons.
The midfielder is considered one of Europe’s brightest young talents and PSG had made an offer to keep him at the club, which was turned down with a bid to join Arsenal this summer.
Adli was given his senior debut by Unai Emery last season as he came on as a late substitute in PSG’s final game of the season against Caen.
Arsenal would pay a €255,000 (£223,000) compensation fee to PSG in order to sign Adli.
