Arsenal made some big-money signings in the summer in the form of Nicolas Pepe, Kieran Tierney, William Saliba and more.
But as they looked to balance the books, it meant Unai Emery had to cut down his playing squad.
Among the departures include Alex Iwobi, who made a £28m move to Everton on deadline day.
The Nigerian had been with the Gunners since he was at primary school and penned an emotional letter to Arsenal fans as he left for Merseyside.
But the 23-year-old has already made an impact for the Toffees – scoring twice in three appearances.
Somewhat surprisingly, both goals have been scored with headers – something that he has admitted he has been working on.
However, is efforts during training have caused hilarity through the ranks among his new team-mates.
“I don’t know what’s been happening, they [team-mates] laugh at me when I try to head the ball in training,” said Iwobi.
“But the practice has been paying off.
“I was just trying keep it on target [against Wolves]. I didn’t know I could jump that high.
“I have been welcomed really warmly and I want to help my team with goals and assists whenever I can.
“I am enjoying myself and hopefully I will make more memories here.
“Our start has been okay and we will try to take that on after the international break.
“But there is always room for improvement.”
