Former Arsenal striker Emmanuel Adebayor has tipped Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang or Alexandre Lacazette to leave the club this summer.
Adebayor spent three seasons with the Gunners before joining Manchester City in 2009 and angered supporters even further when he joined rivals Tottenham in 2011.
The Togo forward, now with Turkish club Istanbul Basaksehir, ran the length of the field to celebrate in front of the travelling Arsenal fans when he scored against the Gunners shortly after his move to the Etihad.
And the 35-year-old has done little to improve his reputation with Arsenal fans by suggesting star duo Aubameyang and Lacazette could leave the club this summer.
Talking about his final years at Arsenal when Arsene Wenger repeatedly sold his star players, Adebayor told the Daily Mail:
‘It reached a time where you would go on holiday and be checking the Daily Mail website to see who is close to leaving for Barcelona or Milan.
‘Dropping one by one until Arsenal are what they are today. I would not be surprised if Lacazette or Aubameyang leave in the summer. Nothing surprises me anymore with that club.’
Aubameyang became Arsenal’s record signing when he completed a £56million move from Dortmund in 2018, breaking the £47m Arsenal paid for Alexandre Lacazette a year earlier.
Aaron Ramsey joins Juventus at the end of the season on a free transfer, while there’s persistent speculation about Mesut Ozil’s future at the club.
