Carlo Ancelloti wants to join Arsenal when Arsene Wenger leaves, according to reports.

Last week, it was reported that Arsenal have contacted Ancelotti over the possibility of replacing Arsene Wenger but the Italian who was relieved of his duties at Bayern Munich last month wants to wait until next summer before he returns to management.

Gazetta dello Sport via the Daily Cannon are now reporting that Ancelloti would be excited to join Arsenal when he decides to return to management.

Wenger’s future has been a major topic of discussion in recent seasons and he has come under serious scrutiny from some fans over failure to guide us to the league title. It wasn’t until after the final game of last season that Wenger signed a new two year deal to continue his reign.

There is less talk about Wenger’s future at the moment because the team is doing well, so there is no guarantee that the Gunners job will be available in the summer.

Wenger has been in charge of Arsenal since the summer of 1996 and has led the club to three Premier League titles and six FA cups. Arsenal’s last league title under the French man was in 2004 and since that time, Ancelloti has won the Italian Serie A, La Liga, Premier League, French League and the German Bundesliga, not to mention the Champions League titles.

His experience of the Premier  football and top football competitions will definitely make him a favorite to replace Wenger but I am not sure the club is considering that just yet.
