Ander Herrera looks set to confirm an extended stay at Manchester United with the club increasingly certain the 29-year-old will sign an extension to stay at Old Trafford, per The Times.
Herrera is out of contract at the end of the season and can talk to foreign clubs about a pre-contract agreement in January.
However, he’s got little interest in leaving Old Trafford and the Manchester giants want to keep hold of him too.
Herrera joined Man United from Athletic Bilbao for £30m in 2014 and now looks set to extend his stay in England beyond five years.
The Spaniard turned down an initial £75,000-a-week contract offer from the club earlier this year.
Since joining from Athletic Bilbao in 2014, Herrera has won the FA Cup, EFL Cup and Europa League with Mourinho’s side.
He was signed by previous boss Louis van Gaal in the summer of 2014 following interest from David Moyes before his sacking.
