David Luiz believes Tiemoue Bakayoko will become a massive hit at Stamford Bridge as the Blues set to host Arsenal this weekend.
Bakayoko joined Chelsea from Monaco in the summer and is expected to play a key role for the club going forward.
Much have been said about the 22 year old, with some slamming his purchase while some hailing it.
Former Chelsea boss Ray Wilkins is one of those who think Bakayoko is a pointless buy but Luiz thinks the midfielder will go on to become a success at Chelsea.
Speaking about the new signing, Luiz said:
“I know him from playing against him in the past, I knew some of his friends from before so that’s why we have a great relationship.”
“We speak French together. It’s also good for me to keep learning and practising French!
“He’s a great guy, a great person, great player.
“He’s a fantastic talent and for sure he’s going to give a lot of happiness to all the supporters of Chelsea.”
Bakayoko still has time on his side and can go on to be a massive player for the club. While I agree that he still has much to learn, I think he has enough quality to make an impact at Chelsea.
The midfielder is set to partner N’Golo Kante in midfield when Chelsea host Arsenal on Sunday.
