Manchester United manager, Jose Mourinho and the club’s executive vice chairman, Ed Woodward, have clashed over the sale of Anthony Martial.
The Frenchman could be offered an escape route out of Manchester United by Sevilla according to MEN.
Marca report that the La Liga side are keen to sign an attacking player before the end of the month and have weighed up the availability of Martial.
Mourinho has asked Woodward to sell the forward before the European transfer window closes next week, says the Star.
The United boss is adamant Martial is not good enough and wants his sale to raise funds to spend on new signings in January.
Martial has done something of a U-turn and after his agent insisted over the summer that the player wanted to leave Old Trafford, he now wants to stay put and prove himself to Mourinho and his United doubters.
Back in December 2016 Martial’s agent, Philippe Lamboley, claimed he was wanted by Sevilla and that he was ‘studying the option’ over a potential January 2017 move.
Obviously, the move never happened, but the Spanish side are clearly admirers of the 22-year-old.
