Report making the round claims Arsenal are exploring the prospect of signing Rennes winger Ismaila Sarr – and it’s safe to say Gunners supporters are rather excited.

The 20-year-old has been likened to Ousmane Dembele, who Arsenal chief scout Sven Mislintat discovered working at Dortmund, and fans are convinced he’s uncovered yet another future world-beater.

Sarr is a Senegal international who went to the World Cup. He even made the shortlist for the Golden Boy award as one of Europe’s top prospects.

The youngster would be available for a fee of around £20million, but Inter Milan have also been keeping a close eye on his development. Rennes, meanwhile, have insisted Sarr will not be sold in January.

Sarr caught the eye of several Premier League clubs after his World Cup displays, and was compared to a young Dembele.

Interestingly, the Barcelona forward was briefly linked with a move to north London this summer after the Catalan club signed Malcom, but nothing materialised.
