Arsenal are reportedly ‘close to signing’ Atletico Madrid midfielder Thomas Partey with Mikel Arteta also eyeing up three more La Liga stars this summer.

The Gunners have been linked with a move for Partey in recent weeks with talks said to have taken place.

The 27-year-old is under contract with Atletico until 2023 but will be allowed to leave this summer if his £47m release clause is met.

Spanish newspaper La Razon state the north London side ‘will pay’ that fee and are now ‘close’ to signing the Ghana international.

But Ateta is also looking at other players from his homeland to strengthen his side next season.

Espanyol ace Marc Roca is one of La Liga stars said to be on his radar with Arsenal looking to strike a bargain deal.

Roca is valued at £36m but with Espanyol rock bottom of the table and heading for relegation, Arsenal will hope to sign him on the cheap with the Spanish side forced to sell.

Carlos Soler is another being monitored that Arsenal could look to with Valencia in need of balancing their books at the end of the season and open to selling.

The final player Arteta is said to be a fan of is Levante’s Enis Bardhi.

The 24-year-old has bagged 16 goals and provided 10 assists in 96 appearances for Levante and has been tipped for a bright future.

Arsenal are reportedly willing to pay around £18m for his services but face competition from Italian side Fiorentina.

Closer to home, the north London side still need to sort out contracts for Bukayo Saka and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.

Fans are growing increasingly concerned the duo are yet to put pen to paper on new deals with several others penning contracts last week.

The Gunners announced defenders Pablo Mari and Cedric Soares signed long-term contracts while David Luiz extended his stay by another season.

Real Madrid loanee Dani Ceballos has also ensured he can finish the season in after reaching an agreement over an extension.
