Arsenal are already holding internal talks over possibly making Dani Ceballos’ loan move permanent next summer, reports claim.
The Spain international joined the Gunners on a season-long loan from Real Madrid in July.
Ceballos has impressed in his 11 appearances under Unai Emery, who has picked him ahead of out-of-favour midfielder Mesut Ozil.
The midfielder is enjoying football once again due to his improved game time, and Spanish outlet El Confidencial claim the 23-year-old does not want to return to Madrid to ‘sit in the stands’ next season.
And, according to the same report, Arsenal have discussed potentially signing Ceballos on a permanent basis knowing that their loan star is happy in London.
Ceballos, who is set to play a part in Spain’s Euro 2020 qualifiers against Norway and Sweden this month, admitted his delight at being at Arsenal.
During a press conference on international duty, he said: “Going to Arsenal has been a very important step in my career.
“I don’t feel sorry for not being in Madrid. Right now I am where I want to be and I am very happy.
“My idea was to go out, play and enjoy football. In the previous two years I had not done so. My goal is only to work to keep doing things right.
“I have eight months left at Arsenal, I can only thank them for the confidence that the coach and fans have placed in me, who have already made me a song.
“I am very happy there and I hope to continue for a long time.”
Real Madrid could demand a big fee for Ceballos, who has four years left on his contract at the Bernabeu.
