Arsenal’s urge for new winger has received a major boost as reports claim that the Gunners had a constructive discussion with Malcolm’s client over a possible switch to the Emirates Stadium this summer.

It no more news that the Gunners are in the race for the former Corinthian winger, who joined Barcelona about one  year ago, as Unai Emery continues to seek for Danny Welbeck’s replacement.

Report reaching out of the North London club via The Sun, claimed that the last season’s Europa League finalists are now in concrete talks with the youngster’s representatives and they hope to reach a deal before the end of the week.

In the report, La Liga champions Barcelona are looking to pocket £50m from the 22-year-old signature, a price tag which appears too steep for the player.

The same report further revealed that the youngster is demanding for £200k-a-week deal from the Gunners.

Though Unai Emery is reportedly desperate to have a new winger this summer, meeting Barca’s demand is far from being realistic.

Firstly, it is believed that his employers are unwilling to exceed their initial £45m budget plan. In addition to that, the Brazilian winger has been unproductive since his big-money switch to Camp Nou in 2018.

The highly-hyped winger has played 15 La Liga matches with the Blaugranas but has managed just one goal in the process — a stat that will be surpassed by Arsenal’s wonderkid Bukayo Saka if given the opportunity.
