Arsenal fans have asked Arsene Wenger to withdraw his interest in West Brom’s Jonny Evans after the defender committed a blunder during their game against Liverpool.

The 30-year-old Arsenal target hesitated in collecting a pass from Chris Brunt, allowing Mohamed Salah to race onto the ball and bear down on goal for Liverpool first goal.

The Gunners fans quickly reacted to the blunder on twitter, with some not eager to see him at the Emirates.

Evans is no short of admirers, with Manchester City and Arsenal having been linked to him recently, the mistake against Liverpool was a basic one as he expected the goalkeeper Ben Foster to come out for the ball.

  1. Why does Wenger always go for the worst possible option? Remember Mikel Sylvestre??
This manager never seems to learn especially as he ages. Just because Man City were interested? A smoke cunning screen if you asked me and only senile Wenger can fall for this bait!
