Arsenal have reportedly been handed a boost in the race to sign Bayern Munich midfielder, Arturo Vidal.
The Gunners have been linked with Vidal for quite sometime but nothing concrete ever materialized.
Arsenal have shown no concrete interest whatsoever in the Chilean but reports won’t stop mentioning our club when it Vidal’s future is shrouded in uncertainty.
Just last week, Italian publication Tuttosport claimed Inter Milan would rival Arsenal for Vidal’s signature in the winter transfer window.
But now, another media outlet in Italy Calcio Mercato via the Daily Cannon has ruled Inter Milan out of the race to sign Vidal.
The report says the Italian giants have pulled out of the race to sign to Chilean.
Inter Milan are on the verge of falling foul of the financial fair play rules and signing Vidal, considering the fee and wages he will command will put them in Uefa bad books. Hence ruling out the prospect of a January move to the San Siro.
However, Inter could try to sign the midfielder in the summer if Bayern refuses to sell him in January.
Vidal’s future at Bayern has been thrown into doubt since the departure of Ancelotti and there’s every chance he could be moved on in the summer.
However, I don’t see Arsenal making a move for him whether he is available or not, he doesn’t fit into the type of player the club loves to sign, age-wise and personality.
