Arsenal have been put on red alert in their pursuit of Club Brugge star Emmanuel Dennis.
The Gunners have been linked with a £22million bid for the forward, who has two years remaining on his Brugge contract.
However, they will likely face competition for his signature, with Premier League rivals Wolverhampton Wanderers and Newcastle United both mooted as possible bidders.
Dennis was also a target for Leicester last summer after impressing with seven goals in the 2018/19 campaign – only to stay put.
He has continued to attract suitors in England thanks to his nine goals and two assists this campaign – which helped Brugge clinch the title despite the season being cancelled.
A versatile player able to line up as a striker or on either flank, Clement claimed there is “a lot of interest” in his player.
“It is very likely that Dennis will leave,” he told La Dernière Heure. “He can also count on a lot of interest.
“It is the time for him to take a new step.”
Dennis, who has been capped twice by Nigeria, grabbed headlines last October when he scored twice against Real Madrid in the Champions League group stages.
Dennis came through the ranks at a club in his native city of Abuja before spending a season with Ukrainian club Zorya Luhansk.
He has emerged as an Arsenal target as boss Mikel Arteta eyes potential replacements with the situations of current forward pair Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Alexandre Lacazette far from certain.
Aubameyang is about to enter the final year of his deal and is yet to agree an extension at the Emirates Stadium.
The 30-year-old is a target for Real Madrid and Barcelona.
The Frenchman is in hot water with the Gunners after seemingly being pictured inhaling nitrous oxide.
