Arsenal hierarchy are furious with Laurent Koscielny’s decision to boycott the club’s pre-season tour and they have reportedly placed a price tag on him,
The Frenchman, who has been with the Gunners since 2010, is in the final year of his contract with the North London club and he is willing to move elsewhere before the end of the window.
The Gunners captain resorted into boycotting the club’s tour of the United States in order to see his transfer wish come to past as soon as possible.
As a way put an end to the reported rift between both parties, London-based media outlet Evening Standard revealed that the Gunners have placed the Frenchman in their list of players wanted out of the Emirates Stadium.
The media outlet also said that the club are looking to offload the captain in a deal worth £8.8m before the end of the month.
They further claimed that Ligue 1 side Bordeaux saw their bid for the centre-back rejected by the Gunners hierarchy as it wasn’t up to their demand.
As part of the club’s desire to punish Kolscielny for declining Unai Emery’s pre-season invitation, some reporters claimed that the centre-back will be stripped off the captain’s armband and will be made to train with the youth team until he finds new suitor.
It remains unknown how Koscielny will react to the punishment, but it is very certain that he is eager to end his long-term relationship with the Gunners this summer.
