According to emerging reports, Arsenal have launched a bid to sign Daniele Rugani on loan from Juventus.

The Gunners back-line let in the excess of 50 goals in the league last season and Unai Emery is keen on fortifying this aspect of his squad.

Laurent Koscielny returned from an injury lay-off last season and he did better than some of the youngsters in the squad. However, he has decided to call time on his spell with Arsenal and the Premier league club are looking to sign his replacement.

Arsenal have been without Rob Holding, who is expected to return to the game in September, after being out of action for 10 months with a knee injury.

The need for a centre-back at Arsenal cannot be over  emphasized if they must be competitive.

And according to reports, Arsenal have turned their attention to Rugani and they are weighing in on a deal for him albeit on loan, reports Corriere Torino as quoted to the Metro.

Juventus have signed on Matthijs de Ligt from Ajax and it may affect the place of Rugani, who was restricted to only 15 league appearances last season.

Arsenal do not have enough funds to sign players this summer, consequently, a loan move for Rugani has been proposed.

Rugani is valued at €40m.
