Arsenal have reportedly made a £40m bid for Karim Benzema, which Real Madrid deem embarrassing.

For one reason or the other, Arsenal have continuously been linked with Benzema, even though Wenger spent more than £50m to sign Lacazette last summer.

It’s being claimed that Perez has told Benzema he is free to find a new club, even though he signed a new four year contract just 2 months ago.

This has led to the Spanish media linking Arsenal with the striker. According to Diario Gol via Sports Mole, the Gunners have stepped up its interest in Benzema by tabling a £40m bid.

However, Madrid chiefs were quick to turn down the bid as it was a long way off their valuation.

The report say Madrid still believe Benzema is one of the best strikers in the world, I am sure not many of us would agree with that.

Madrid reportedly want to get as much as possible for the striker and I think it would be silly of Arsenal to return with an improved bid, that’s if we ever submitted this one.

Benzema has been poor in the last few seasons and is no longer the fearsome striker he used to be. Arsenal being linked with him is a surprise to us as we have options that are better than him I’m current form. As if that’s not enough, we are rumored to have made a huge bid for him.
