For several transfer windows now, Arsenal have been continuously been linked with a move for Philippe Coutinho and this summer is no different as new reports have been making rounds that Arsenal are close to completing a loan deal for the Barcelona ace.

But now, according to reports, Arsenal have denied making a move for Coutinho.

The reports earlier this week was suggesting that a Premier League club were in negotiations with Barcelona over bringing Coutinho back to England for the season.

Such a move would involve a hefty loan fee, initially reported to be £27m but now reported by Mundo Deportivo to be in the region of £22.8m.

The same publication claims that Arsenal have denied having anything to do with the supposed deal – ‘although in this case they did not hide their desire that could come true’.

Sources close to Coutinho confirms the absence of such deal and claim he would not ‘be willing to accept such treatment’.

The Brazilian, however would consider leaving Camp Nou but none of the linked Premier League club can pull off a deal before transfer deadline on Thursday.

If Coutinho does leave Barcelona, PSG seem his likeliest destination as the Serie A club have been keeping tabs on him.
