Former Arsenal striker Ian Wright has mentioned who he thinks would be the perfect man to replace Arsene Wenger at the Emirates.

With Wenger closing in on the final stage of his career, there have been talks in some corners about who would replace the French man.

Several names like Diego Simeone and Ronald Koeman have been mentioned in the past but Wright now believes the best man to replace Wenger is Hull City’s boss Marco Silva.

Silva has impressed since he took over at Watford, wining four of his first nine league games of the current season.

Among those wins was a 2-1 victory over Arsenal, where the Hornets came from a goal down to claim all three points and Wright has been impressed by how Silva sets up his team.

“Well you can see that [why Silva is linked with Arsenal]. His teams are very organised,” Wright told BBC Radio 5 Live (via the Daily Cannon). “He definitely gets an uplight. He is a training ground manager. He is George Graham-esque. That’s what Arsenal need.”

Taking nothing away from Silva, he has done well since he took over at Hull City. It’s the same thing that was said when Koeman was doing well at Southampton but somehow, he couldn’t manage to live up to expectations at Everton.

Managing a top team and a mid-table team are two different things. The pressure that comes with managing a club like Arsenal may be too much for Silva to handle.

Personally, I think Arsenal should look out for a manager with top level experience to replace Wenger when he decides to leave.
