Reports in Italy claim Arsenal have offered a £3 million-a-year deal to Juventus CEO Beppe Marotta as a replacement for Ivan Gazidis.
Last month, Gazidis confirmed that he would be leaving Arsenal as their chief executive in order to take up the same position at AC Milan.
The Gunners announced that Raul Sanllehi and Vinai Venkatesham would be leading the club following Gazidis’ departure.
It is understood Arsenal didn’t manage to persuade Marotta to move to England and Marotta is now listening to offers of other clubs.
He announced his Juventus exit after the final whistle of Juventus-Napoli on Saturday and since then, Marotta has been linked with the best Italian and European clubs.
The Italian is set to depart the Serie A heavyweights later this month after eight years at the helm.
Marotta established himself as a transfer guru at Juventus, helping the club sign experienced players without breaking the bank.
Tutto Sport claims Juventus bigwig Marotta could soon be on his way to Manchester United, bringing with him former Chelsea boss Antonio Conte, who has been out of work since the summer.
