Boca Juniors winger and Arsenal target Christian Pavon has hinted he is prepared to depart the club for the Premier League amid speculations linking him to the Gunners, this is according to the Evening Standard.

The 22-year-old Argentine is regarded as one of the most highly rated young players in Argentina having recently made his debut for the Argentine senior national team.

He was earlier linked with a £20 million summer move to Arsenal as they looked to replace their now departed Chilean winger Alexis Sanchez at the end of the season.

Pavon has hinted he would be open to making a move to Europe as he told Fox Sports: “One always gives the maximum so that other teams love you.

“I wish it was fixed, I said at one point that I was going to stay but, well, I still do not know anything.

“I prefer to play games and not be focused on what happens outside.

“I will sit down to talk with my manager [Fernando Hidalgo], with my family, and I will see what happens.

The Gunners are favorites to sign him, but they are working on bringing in Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang at the moment after completing a Sanchez-Mkhitaryan swap deal recently.

Pavon is contracted to Boca Juniors till 2022 with a release clause of €37 million and is also being tracked by Juventus and Manchester City who have been impressed by his performances.
