Arsenal FC have been linked with a move to sign another world-class forward this summer.
Daily Mirror reports that the Gunners are linked with a move to sign Brazil international, Philippe Coutinho from Spanish club, Barcelona.
It is reported that Arsenal are willing to bring the Brazil forward back to England after he left Liverpool FC a year ago for Camp Nou at a price tag of £142 million.
The same report reveals that Barcelona are ready to let Coutinho leave permanently for £110 million or for £27 million on loan.
Arsenal wouldn’t be able to sign the Brazil international permanently as they have already spent more than their transfer budget to sign Ivory Coast international, Nicolas Pepe in a transfer deal worth £72 million from Lille this summer.
The Gunners would also be unable to meet the price tag for a loan option but report from Spain hints that the two sides intend to discuss on how to work things out when they meet on Sunday at Camp Nou in the Joan Gamper trophy.
27-year-old Coutinho can play as an attacking midfielder as well as a winger, he has scored 13 goals in his 51 appearances for Barcelona since joining them in 2018.
It would be a big boost if Arsenal are able to sign Coutinho to their attack but it would mean they would have a stockpile of wingers at Emirates Stadium.
